Breeds Available

New Hampshire

Exceptional Layers

300 plus eggs of good size, beige in colour.

Early maturing,

Very quiet breed, well suited for families.

Lavender Sussex

Very Popular, Lavender coloured plumage.

Large hens, lay 200 - 250 large beige eggs per year. Make great pets in back yard coops.

Buff Sussex

Buff Coloured Sussex, Large hens, lay 200 - 250 egg per year, very quiet and docile natured.

Plymouth Rock

Very Popular, Large Hens, Layers of around 250 large eggs per year.

Very quiet and docile natured.

Barnevelder

Various Colours, Silver Lace, Blue and Standard Barnevelders. Prolific layers of Dark and Speckled eggs.

Wyandotte

The very popular Gold and Silver Laced Wyandotte. Lay 200- 250 eggs per year. Very attractive plumage.

Marans

Black Copper and Blue Copper Marans

Layers of very dark chocolate coloured eggs.

Very attractive hens in both Blue and Black.

Leghorns

Brown and Blue Leghorns, lay up to 300 white eggs per year, not prone to going broody and easy to care for. Will handle both cold and heat.

Quamby

The delightful Quamby, very reliable layers of 300 large eggs per year. Very similar to the Buff Sussex in appearance. Large hens suited well for back yard coops.

Welsummer

Placid in nature, lay 200 large brown eggs per year. Ideal for back yard pets.

Campine

Striking in colour Gold or Silver.

Less common breed, medium size, very hardy and love to forage. Lay 200 plus white eggs per year.

The Growing Phase

From Egg to Pullets

Fertile Eggs

Emphasis is placed on using outcross quality males in our breeding program. Eggs are checked regularly for fertility rates.

There may be a wait list for some breeds.

Baby Chicks

From Hatching to 4 weeks old are under heat lamps. From there they go into enclosed cages for 2 weeks.

Pullets

From 6 weeks they are free ranging by day and enclosed at night.

Pullets

From 8 weeks, foraging and growing rapidly filling out and moving towards Point of Lay which can be from 17 weeks and up to 21 weeks depending on breed.

Cockerels

Orders welcome for cockerels for delivery at 6 weeks
